what john wooden is trying to say is that you are the most important thing not your basketball skills. what it mean the thing that describe you is your personality not how much you know how to play basketball. forexample if you have a bad personality and good skills in basketball thats bad because basketball is only going to represeent you and not how good you are as a person. but you have a good personality and have great skills in basketball than those two things are goin to represent you. so you the way your is far more important than anything else.
