“Character is higher than intellect.” - Ralph Waldo Emerson

What Ralph is saying that character is higher than intellect because you could be intelligent but have a bad character. So you could be intelligent and have a good character. People always see your character in order to see if they like  you or not. People also see how intelligent you are but is not as important as your character because your character is better. For example if a person has a really bad attitude and they are really smart they are going to look bad because their intelligence doesn’t go with their character. Why be smart when you have  a really bad character it will just  not look good if your character is bad. So yes i agree with Ralph character is higher than intellect because character shows everything of you.

“ I trust that my hard work will pay off” - Tyler Haws

What Tyler Haws is saying is that if you work hard for something you really want one day it will pay off. If you want to do something and you try so hard to make this thing work then you will work hard for all the effort you made pays off at the end of the day. This is why you need to hard and not stop trying to you make all your goals become true.  For example if you had a dream that you always wanted to become true then you have to continue and keep going through it no matter what type of obstacles come through you just have to trust that your hard work will pay off. You have to practice your skills in order to accomplish his hard work. You have to accomplish all the work he did. Another example is that Tyler Haws practice every morning basketball for 2 hours every day before school started. He will practice a lot in order to get good as he is . he had a lot of trust on him to pay off. So yes i do agree with this quote from Tyler Haws because you do have to be a hard working person in order for your hard work to pay off.

 

“True independence and freedom can only exist in doing what’s right”. -Brigham Young

What this quote is saying is that only people that choose the right are the people who have true independence and freedom. The reason why people who choose the right are independent and free are because they know how to behave good and don’t do wrong things. That's why you always have to right in order to be free. You’ll be free because they are going to know that you behave good and you wouldn't do nothing wrong that will affect you or the others. For example if you’re in jail and you are showing a good behavior then they will give you less time their and let you free soon. Also your parents start giving you independence when you start acting right.

“ The only truly great who are truly good.”- George Chapman

The people that are truly great are the only that are truly good. The reason that i'm saying that is because the people who are actually good are the people that actually show it.  So be a great person because that’s what represents you. So if your great person you are mostly going to have a good reputation. For example if you’re a good person and that’s how people know you then that a good thing because that’s how people are going to know you you’re going to be a truly good person.  So yes i agree with George Chapman because when he says that you have to be a truly great person because you have to be good about it.

“I won’t cheat”- Dale Murphy

What Dale Murphy is trying to tell us is that you should not cheat because that’s wrong. You have to be honest and not cheat because cheating is wrong to do. Cheating will affect you in the future because you’re not going to be able to do nothing without depending on something that  is going to help you pass.  For Example if you cheat on something and someone finds out you will be in so much problems. Cheating will not bring nothing good to you. Cheating will always bring bad things in your life. Cheating might help you for things but that’s the wrong way. No one should cheat because you are affecting yourself with bad things. I agree with Dale Murphy because you should not cheat because cheating is wrong to do.
