Being a nursing home administrator requires a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in healthcare administrator. however ,most nursing home administrators have master’s degrees in long term care administration, health services administration, public health or business administration.

Duties and responsibilities: Nursing home administration a specialized area of medical and health services management. Typical duties of nursing home administrators include overseeing staff and personnel.

Education: A graduate may start in entry level positions in the field, such as a department head or assistant administrator, which can provide the experience for a hospital administrator position.
