What this quote is trying to say is that he wants to stick with telling the truth. And stand with the people that stand in the right because they always choose the right and not the bad. And when he goes bad not to stand next to him. The reason he’s saying this is because he wants to let the people that you have stand with the people that choose the right and not the wrong. For example if you talk to a person that helps you a lot in things that you need help with then you could stand by them because they're going to help you with the things you need help with. Let’s say that the person you’re bounding with decides to make the wrong choice then you should part with him when he goes wrong. So yes i do agree with Abraham Lincoln because you should stand with the right people and not the wrong.
