Duties and Responsibilities: optometrists typically do the following, they perform vision tests and analyze results. They also diagnose sight problems, such as nearsightedness or farsightedness and eye diseases.

Education: if you’re interested in becoming an optometrist, you’ll first need to complete a 4 year bachelor’s program, preferably in a relevant or related in the field of biology.

Demand or need for this demand:  all the states are required for optometrist to be licensed. To get a new license, a prospective must have and O.D. degree from an accredited optometry school and they must complete all the sections.
